Diesel Mechanic

MDI ROCK is looking for a skilled DIESEL MECHANIC for our DEWEY, AZ location to perform a wide range of in-house repairs, ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of our trucks and heavy machinery. This position is perfect for a mechanically skilled professional who thrives in a dynamic work environment and is committed to excellence in maintenance and repair practices.

If you have experience rebuilding diesel engines, that is a PLUS.

About The Position

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive maintenance across various levels to extend the lifespan of trucks and heavy equipment.
• Perform daily repairs and maintenance tasks, including oil changes, battery checks, and equipment lubrication.
• Troubleshoot and repair major components such as engines and transmissions.
• Effectively communicate with the team to coordinate maintenance schedules and reduce truck downtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and practices.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with expertise in heavy equipment and DOT-regulated truck maintenance.
• Proficient in performing repairs on a wide range of heavy machinery, including loaders and material processing machines.
• Strong ability to diagnose and repair major mechanical issues, including engine and transmission systems.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and manage repair schedules.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and compliance with safety standards.
• Ability to handle tools and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

Expected Hours: No less than 40 per week
